Unfamiliar with both of these artists, and liked both. Will look further into both.

B had a lot of variation, and was pleasant enough to listen to, but I don't know if it added up to all that much. I missed that one "perk up your ears" passage.
A is less properly 'prog' (again, more post-psych), but I really liked its gentle groove (reminded me a bit of Cream's more acoustic-based stuff).

B - wasn't expecting to like this but the track is well paced and develops as it goes along.

Masters also appeared on my.last BCB-Cup list. It's my unofficial Australian national anthem (next to Under The Milky Way) and a cool anthemic rock classic.
B gives me a bit of an after school student art-band vibe- like a final music exam performance. it's quite pleasant throughout and the explosive end grabbed my attention finally.

I also not familiar with either.

Pleasant enough - perhaps bordering on bland...

Predictably it picks up tempo (and excitement) towards the end.

Yes - not bad

On to B - I found the tempo changes and the way they were welded together disconcerting.

Good musicianship but it didn't hang together- a bit of a dog's breakfast actually.

I think I enjoyed it more than A

So I am giving it to B for the bass guitarists Guru Guru T-shirt

it's hard for me to not gravitate to the kind of sweet, folksy, wispy sound in a song like A. yeah, had its repetitive side, but i'm a sucker for it, mwhaha.

however, i loved B. yeah, i agree there could've been a lil more transitional glue goin on in the first sections (they got better at that in the second half). doesn't ultimately detract for me, cuz it was just a smoooooooooooooth, well-played vibey jam of stellarness, with a very satisfying whammm in the end. love it.

I like B in parts, but it's just a bit too long for me in others. A is a joy though, a love letter of tenderness and determination.

Haven't heard either of these.

A- more a rock tune but liked it might have to check out some more.

B- interesting guitar work that kept me interested.

I like B quite a lot! It builds nicely to a very controlled wig-out at the end. Good stuff indeed.
A is a soppy dirge.

Never heard of A (Australian apparently) but I really liked it, it developed very nicely and had a strong hook.

From Australia to Japan and Kikagaku Moyo is another completely new to me. The slow droney opening brought to mind Fairport Convention's A Sailor's Life before kicking off into a funky rock groove. I have to agree with C regarding the sudden tempo changes, it all seemed a bit bolted together but I enjoyed the individual sections far more than the way it flowed.

A very close tie this but I'll go B just

Think if I'd heard the poptastic Master's Apprentice's song when I was a whipper snapper I'd have enjoyed it very much, but hearing it for the first time now it left me cold.

Kikagaku Moyo though had me hooked from the beginning - want to check out some more from them - well done whoever picked them, you have piqued my interest.

A is pleasant enough.
B has real bite.

B was interesting but yes, that disjointed element did jar a bit - I like a bit of variety in a piece of music but it felt like 4 different passages glued together just to make a 10 minute track.

A was quite nice.

Tight squeeze but put me down for an A.
