We got drunk at the Getty today and are now off home where a crate of champagne apparently awaits. So please bring acetaminophen with you tomorrow just in case.
You come at the Queen, you best not miss.

I wasn't going to say anything, but did you really have to bring the Texas weather with you?

Leaving now, there right around two. Pillowz will follow along soon after on her own.

Goldwax has just told us all he thinks Greg Lake is hot.

We're missing Matt Wilson. We can't decide what the best double album of March 1974 is.

And apparently Goldwax has seen Grg Lake's love handles. Yikes!

Easy, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway (except it was released in November).

Sitting on the plane, waiting to get out of town, with lots of good "memories," thanks in part to the West Coast Clique. Thanks to all who came out, we had a great time. But probably should've done a better job of talking Goldwax out of taking us to another bar.

See y'all next time!

He not only showed up, but dragged you along to another event? Must be the influence of Mrs. Wax (another sign: did he insist on a stop at Denny's?)

The only thing missing was a boom box so we could have had that Music From: The Elder sync listen I have been trying to organize for so long.

Nobody's mentioned yet (and I have no pix), but TG brought with him "Phast Phreddie" Patterson, who was in town from NYC to attend a birthday event for fellow d.j. Don Waller. His resources, alas, went largely untapped.

I remember Don from the gathering at TG's place. I'll somehow always remember what amounted to his catchphrase - "Well fuck you Jim" :D

Envious, seeing the pics, bringing back good memories of my time in LA. Must return one day.

Well friends, this morning brings us back to Austin, unpacking, choring and going about our business. When we knew we would be going to LA, there was a nanosecond where we didn't think it would be possible to meet up with folk due to time constraints. I'm overjoyed that turned out not to be the case.

It was a complete pleasure to meet you all, and I can't thank you enough for travelling and taking time out of your schedules to come and meet up. It was a delightful afternoon and evening and I can see why the Cat and Fiddle has stayed such a popular meet up place - it is a glorious venue, friendly, and what a patio!

Thanks for making my first LA Jolly so....jolly

We probably overegged the pudding in carrying on drinking with Mr and Mrs Goldwax, but where else was I going to find a bar with a ping pong table to dance round to and a jukebox that had Safe European Home on it?

We cured our hangovers by going to the Huntington in Pasadenas and drinking Chinese beer. I recommend it.

Thank you again.

I'll put pics in the FB BCB later.

Mwah mwah mwah.

Mr. Waller can, of course, also be found at the same linked site as Mr. Patterson.
