make of this what yoiu will. But note that no fewer than seven doyens were in attendance.

and the modernist. The rest were as previously described. I have no idea why they were even there to be honest.

I wish I could have been there, but I'm entertaining my mother over Easter. Nice to see Nikki re-surfacing, anyway.

Great photograph. A testament to leading a healthy lifestyle!

As already said it was great to get together again with people who have been great friends over the last 10 years. A lot has happened over the intervening period, some good, some bad, but it’s reassuring that your mates are still around.

Thanks to Yompi for the 4 x DVDs of Tangerine Dreams MP3s. I’m told they contain around 200 hours of music....

On the downside I wasn’t alone in finding the price of beer had risen alarmingly at the Blue Posts. Where it was once agreed that it offered ‘cheap’ beer for central London, the price of a pint of lager is now over £4.00. Still. It was worth it.

It really is something, isn't it?

I have to say, that was a fabulous day. I talked longer with Huw, G and Toby than I think I ever have previously. My apologies. It was great chatting with everyone- nice to see Kaspar for the first time (what a great lad) and thanks everyone for making it such an enjoyable day. Atmosphere was eerily reminiscent of the Moon Under Water ten years ago - just sitting around, no music to distract, no TV to get in the way, discussing a whole rafter of subjects. Sometimes even listening too. Anyone else remember my proposed avatar for people that have asked to have their account deleted?!

I rounded it off by going out for a birthday drink with an old friend, around Wallingford, from about 9 onwards. Got in at just past 2 o'clock, thoroughly mashed. :)

Nice to see the 10 year reunion fotos along with the origionals. I remember talking to some of you before hand and then after about what it was like meeting each other and being dead jealous that I couldn't be there. 10 years on, I'm still jealous.

To the missing seven (Cheifwhat, Baba, Rorsch, Teabag, Carlsson, Snowdog and Mudshark), you were missed. I hope I'm not forgetting anyone (O'Gorman's omission was deliberate). On the other hand, your stand-ins yesterday were more than adequate even if G and I ended up having the same lengthy conversation we always have! Wouldn't be a jolly-up without it.

I remember thinking not long after that you and Neil Teabag was going to be a "challenging" first meeting, but we all just had a lovely evening in a pub in Barnes. That is the Mojo/BCB way.

He said my posts were only useful as toilet paper but he was always quite decent to me in person and certainly generous in letting me have anything I showed interest in music wise.

The meeting of Geisha Girl and Smamfy, that was trouble!

Well the doyens very graciously allowed me to breathe their air and a splendid evening ensued.

I can of course recall nothing, except some vague memories of trying to persuade The Slider that Townes Van Zandt was of more worth than Genesis which I pretty soon decided was futile and I should just let him wallow in his ignorance.

The Slider of course won the namedropping prize for the night with his "yes, I was discussing this with Julie Burchill recently"
