A A robust choice from Nektar. Saw them live in the mid seventies. Excellent light show.

What a match. Nektar ebbs and flows but also rocks. It's jazzy & atmospheric and get's the thumbs up.
However that Eno track is amazing as i look out the window at the setimg sun.

geezuss, people. mwhaha.
i was so sure i was gonna go nektar, cuz it is just fantastic. (yes, i even have a coffee cup with this album cover on it. i would take a pic of it and show y'all, but in the last month, my iphone is no longer sending pics to my email, and i dunno why. if anyone who is *not* a tech-idjut could help me, PM me. thanks in advance.)
anyway, then i heard B. and whatever it is, it made my eyes water up. it did. leave me alone.

Eno, Eno & Lanois's Atmospheres & Soundtracks is a fantastic album - full of emotions and some of the most beautiful music ever written
Up against a great Nektar track.
A very tough match but I'm going:

A gets a nice groove going but overstays its welcome. B is lovely.

Re: PC21 Last Round Match 8
Confession time. In my going down the prog wormhole doing a bit of research I came across Nektar, and I like it. Its just on the right side of twee naffness that I can get with. I almost picked a Nectar track but went with something a little more modern, and noisy, shall we say.
B sounds like any Spacemen 3, Spiritualised track I've ever listened to. I've only ever listened to that sort of thing out of my mind on nefarious substances. I never touch anything these days and I'm not going to start in an attempt to appreciate this. You know when Eno did the Bloom and Trope apps? He obviously created this on them. You could too. Whilst asleep.

Hated to have it stop so abruptly, but A is a great pick

Very contrasting songs, both excellent in their own very different ways.
If I want to get lost in music, Nektar.
If I want to get lost in a book, Eno.
Lost in music wins - A

Nektar goes nowhere in particular and doesn't know this.
Eno goes nowhere at all and not only knows it, he says 'and what of it?'.
The smartarse.

Re: PC21 Last Round Match 8
A is a fine Nektar track. I always enjoy these guys when they crop up on Prog Cups but don't actually own anything by them.
The Eno track was lovely, my kind of ambient.
Two tracks from albums that I'd be interested in getting hold of so a tight match but I'm going for the Proggier of the two.

There's something a bit Flower Kingsy about Nektar and they are rather hit and miss for me.
I quite enjoyed the Eno track, which surprised me.
