Oh dear! Come back, Horslips, all is forgiven!

A is deadly dull and formulaic to me, B at least rocks in a sludgy way but it's not really my cup of tea.

Re: PC21- Round 6 Match 4
A sounds a bit hack-ish, like the work of people who can crap out three songs like this from scratch in one afternoon recording session. And yet, it does undoubtedly have some melodic appeal.
I enjoyed B way more than any Swans I've ever heard, and I like outside-the-box, but this is outside the building. Or church?

Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

Steve Wilson in pop mode is always a joy and this a typically lovely and melodic piece that he can seemingly knock off in his sleep.
Neurosis and Jarboe are a new name to me, a bit too alternative metal for my tastes and I wasn't keen on the vocalist's attempt to sound scary and menacing. Fine within its field I guess, but it's just not my kind of field.

I'm a massive PT-fan but this is a song that is a fair bit overplayed.
That Neurosis-album fires on all synapses. Jarboe is a great foil for them.

B is the best track in this cup so far. Menacing, infused with enough heaviosity to rattle the sternum.
I'm struggling for a word that describes something beyond derivative. If there is one its A.

Porcupine Tree is pleasant enough but nothing to write home about. I just don't get them or all the fuss that goes with them.
Yes, it was 'dull'
Neurosis and Jarboe got my interest from the start
Nice beat with unusual vocals which hit the spot.
Jarboe La Salle Devereaux - a good name
Yes, this has got my attention - really good
Nice 'percussion' and some tasty guitar riffing
Yes - fairly easy:
-+B+-

I like Steve Wilson.
B is unlistenable, people. I suspect some of you who voted for it have not actually listened to very much of it. Which is understandable, but shame on you.

A- The only problem with this song is that its basically a top 3 popular PT song. Love the melody and song but its not my top 3 PT song not sure it makes the top 15.
06 - Mr Wilson - Porcupine Tree
B-swans singer with metal band. I'm a fan of the swans(at least most of it) , however here they go into that metal parts mode. So it leaves me with mixed feelings. Funny because PT can also get too metal for me at certain periods.
