Thought A was OK, assumed I'd vote for B - love Lake's voice, and I might generally prefer that album to its predecessor, but that particular track was a bit dull, and Giles overplaying on it doesn't help. I was excited to see something picked from that album, but that would probably be my last choice from it.

A mostly just makes a more pleasant sound to my ears. B just sort of washes over me, sadly.

i really enjoyed A... a rich ride, with many a groovy section, particularly in the second half. not sure how well it all holds together in the end, but in this case, didn't much matter to me. very good.

however, i think B is beautiful, from start to finish. sigh. back when greg lake's voice could melt my spine like butter.

This is a tough one - two progtastic tracks!!!

No real need to play either - they are both in my DNA

Rick's keys versus Keith's piano {RIP x 2}

Hang on a minute - interesting - I am listening to Crimso and this not the original album selection - a 'Greg Lake Guide Vocal' bonus track.

I assume the selector of the said track knew that :? [of course they did!]

Well, it didn't do it for me - the track's empty without Mel's flute.

No not for me - sorry

I always saw Trace as a keyboards-led classical-prog trio of little interest, but with Darryl Way guesting, this is actually very nice.

Cadence and Cascade, whether sung by Lake or by Haskell, I always saw as the ugly little brother of I Talk To The Wind.

The Crimson track is lacking in discord and fractiousness. Its too nice.
At least A is horrible.

I picked A as well but too late, sadly. It is great - tubs, ooof, etc. It has a beautiful spacey funk feel when those synths are floating over the funky beats, and the electric violin is a winner.

The KC track is a pastoral delight from their underrated 2nd album. I've got the first Trace album but don't play it that much so this is a reminder. I never knew Darryl Way played with them.

Really enjoyed A's funky feel. I wasn't expecting the violin interlude and the baroque sequence but with prog you should always expect the unexpected.

B is a lovely KC tune but I'll go with the one new to me which was full of pleasant surprises.

The Crimson's song is a delightful idyll, Trace went to more places.

I am not a big fan of KC but that was a nice track.

The trace track is very good. (Way used to live in my village - met him once at the pub, nice guy.)

A- like the various keyboards on A and the later violin work. It dragged a little too long but nice track.

B - prefer the original track.

i just want everyone to know that i am still in my happy, zenny place, even in the face of an absolute trouncing by that bastard JJ.

i don't hold anything against anyone who voted against me, ya flagrant, flaming fucquers. to the two who voted for my lovely crimson track: you are fine, upstanding personages.

p.s. clear outta the way, people, cuz this is me for the rest of the competition.
