I'll out myself as I'm getting a good pants-down thrashing, the likes of which I've not experienced since the 4th form.
Lift to Experience shined brightly for 1 album, Texas Jerusalem Crossroads, a concept about the second coming of Jesus with Texas as the promised land. Its extraordinary and most definitely on the prog side of things. It even has some fiddle in it, somewhere.
I did think about selecting it in its entirety as it needs to be heard as a total piece. A movement if you will. There you go my Prog friends, I've truly been drawn into your realm with this pretentious post. Your work here is almost done.

I saw Josh T Pearson open for MBV , he was great, they were from Denton I believe.

Indeed they were. I also saw Josh on his solo sojourn post split. It wasn't a happy experience as he was dealing with a few personal things at the time. The music was great and lyrically intense.
On a side note, when LTE split, Josh sacked Andy, the drummer by sending him a cowboy boot and a message along the lines of heres the boot. Said boot appeared on ebay and I bid furiously on it only to be pipped at the last minute for the sum of $75 bucks I remember. Yeah, pretty much of a fan boy
