Tough call - B is lovely and unfamiliar. And A is an inferior (recent?) live version, but I know from experience that their studio material is hard to find on line, and I also know there's only about three people here who even vaguely like the Oysterband, let alone love them as I do, so it pretty much has no chance in winning.
So congrats in advance to B and cheers for the good pick. It just happened to go against one of my favorite bands in the cup so far (albeit not one of their better tracks).

Oysterband (formerly Oyster Band) - they rose from the remnants of Fiddler's Dram who had a novelty hit with Day Trip to Bangor (Didn't We Have a Lovely Time.
I saw Oyster Band and Oysterband live a couple of times each - they changed their image (and their music) from shaggy folk hairies to leather jacketed cool dudes playing a more punkish ditty a la The Men They Couldn't Hang.
Notwithstanding, I enjoyed the music of both bands and they made some good records.
This is a very pleasant boppy jaunt with some nice fiddle and instrumentation - very pleasant and very robust- it is taken from their 90s album Deserters
Veronique Chalot I am not familiar with. A very pleasant voice though a little shrill but delightful nonetheless.
I enjoyed it
It's a tough call - which track did I enjoy most...?
Difficult, but, A has it
A has it

A is suffering from a touch of the Bruce Springsteens. Might go down well at the over 70s line-dancing club in some ex-pat town in the med, but doesn't go down well with me. I can't believe the drop in quality over the last couple of ties, God forgive you all for what you've done.
Aaaaaaaaand that's better. This would've beaten many a decent pick in this cup, so I'm glad it's up against A. New to me, delicate and pretty, and even though it's light on its feet, it stomps the crap out of A. And that's a lot of crap to stomp.

Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

A is the kind of folk-rock I really don't like.

Enjoyed both - Oysterband I do have a couple of CDs by, Veronique Chalot is new to me and I shall check out some more. Tough call, the Oyster boys have been folkier...

A is really not my kind of thing at all. Basically second rate rock with a fiddle thrown in.
B was a lovely thing, came as quite a relief after A

First time I've heard Oysterband, to my knowledge. They sure take their time in getting to the chorus of the song, don't they?
I love medieval folk! Easy win for B.

A tough one - I love the Oysterband, but this isn't one of their better tracks IMO, a bit of a bizarre choice. B is new to me, but quite lovely.

Oyster Band are ok, I even love some of their stuff... but no chance against the purity of B's voice (and her épinette des Vosges)
Fantastic pick, B
