Bermuda Triangle, a husband and wife team I recall - wasn't she a bass guitarist too?

Psychedelic folk - I like that

Nice harmonies pleasant music - nice notes all in the right order to my ears.

Robust (a bit Airplane but that's not a bad thing)

The Barr Brothers I have never heard of and I enjoyed it - some nice guitar it drifted along nicely.

This is a tough call as I enjoyed both songs equally.

A. No B. No A. No B...

Oh dear

So, A has it

A has it

A

Both tracks are folkish rather than folk to my mind. Of the two I preferred A.

The Barr Brothers sound intriguing in spots, but they just take so long to get not much of anywhere. A bit stuffy, really.

B might benefit from being a little stuffier :D - but dated hippy charm is better than no charm at all.

A is a dreampop-kind of affair that is really nice. B gets a hit shrilly at times but is enjoyable enough.

This is more like it: two acts that are new to me, and both warrant further investigation.

A has a nice tome, and I fond it very relaxing. Good effort.
B is rather mad, in a good way. Psychedelia meets folk. Fantastic.

++B++

In some of the other rounds A would have won.

Really enjoyed A, it built very nicely indeed from its atmospheric intro. One to investigate further.

B was a bit a gem too, really liked is psyche-tinged vibe. Perhaps the clue for missing tapes lies in the name of the band.

Good tie this, but A by a whisker.

A's quite a nice thing. Reminds me of a very staid Akron/Family. It doesn't have that wildness and sense of abandon they occasionally had, but it's got the same kind of natural warmth and tunefulness. Just has a languid charm doesn't it, without any of the hint of erzatsness that you get from a lot of well-produced modern folk. I like this quite a lot.

B doesn't sound very folky at all, it's more like a badly recorded average late 60s psyche song. There's a hint of quality about the female singer, but those synths are the stuff of nightmares, and I keep thinking it's going to break into the theme tune from "Fame". Should've shot the male half of the duo.

A
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

A takes its time to get started and then failed to really go anywhere.

B is rather charming.

Interesting match. Both have qualities i like, but i'm going with the gentler atmospheric one.

Good to see two more obscure tracks pitched against each other. Avoids the usual do I vote for the obvious choice conflicts.

THe lomg droney intro to A was overlong and started to annoy me but once the song started I enjoyed it.
I like the syle of B but there are better examples of the psych folk genre out there and this felt a bit "by numbers" and God do they look scary on the cover. It;s like "We've come for your children"
