It’s nice seeing more Koenji appear in this cup. So, credit must be given for this choice. However, it happens to be up against a song from one of my all-time favorite albums and while possibly an obvious pick, it’s one I find difficult to vote against because it is indeed awesome. B takes it.

A simply to punish B for such an obvious and unimaginative choice.

The Genesis track is far too obvious.

I enjoyed A if somewhat derivative of GG in parts.

Yes. DC - but light on the claptrap - it is so reminiscent of GG

But:

Count me in with the crowd declaring B too obvious.

A is probably a bit much, but it's short enough that it ends pretty soon after starting to wear out its welcome.

This is the second time I find myself voting for Genesis. It’s quite catchy and I can remember listening to it on top of the pops.
A is horrible.

There was a live version i found and watched this morning, where the group were playing at a high school i think and the featured track was the first song. I'd try it on an empty stomach though.

Sorry A.

I don't believe in voting against being too obvious....if it's the better song it deserves to win. A does my head in.

That's the version I've found. It was all a bit too much for me and my wife just yelled at me to turn that racket off  . I'd like a have a good reason to vote against an obvious pick but I'm not finding it here. Genesis sounded like a breath of fresh air after that.

AWWW YISS SOME MORE KOENJI. Nivraym is probably my least favourite album from the lot but this is a very cool track, as angular, combative and manic as the better part of their catalogue whilst also conserving a very solid melodic and compositional backbone behind it all. Not much can be said about B that hasn't already been said here and elsewhere. A classic? Robust? Seminal? OOOOOF? Absolutely. It's also the laziest pick in the cup thus far. A

If I used my voice to make random sounds with no words being formed you wouldn’t call it speech would you?

Well A isn’t music.
