It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.

Geebers. A is Old Skool.

The first list I didn't have to listen to at least one song on.

B.
Goodness gracious me.

A is the very definition of a manufactured BCB cup crowd pleaser. All fine but not one track has that Hell Yes factor. Much more personality and character on show in B, and I'll take the terrific Monkees song over anything in A.

Bloody hell, a freebie CD from Q, vs a freebie CD from Mojo.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

hm.

i dunno.

A is certainly consistent and very listenable, though i do get the criticisms about it.

B has more variety and personality, but it is streaky and some of it is kinda meh.

i feel decidely in undecided toss-up land.

... i'll go with B. even with its flaws, it just has more of a soul to it, i think.

A is good but too familiar. B has Solomon Burke, Aretha Franklin and Nick Lowe. No contest.

A is rather an obvious list, even to a musical bonehead like me. But the Massive Attack choice is stellar, and as a whole, it is preferable to both the Beatles and Elvis Costello ( the link for the latter didn't work, which came as a relief to mine ears, given that I find him almost unlistenable)
