BCB Cup 2011 The final - The Modernist Age!
Re: BCB Cup 2011 The final
Well, I'll go for A this time.
No surprise to anyone really, but neither of these were favourites of mine in the competion. I think I might not be BCB material!
Well done to you, both.

I think in every year we've known who the finalists are though haven't we?
Oh and I think both are curate's eggs ..and parson's geese come to that.

Two terrific lists. A has been a fave for ages, so many great tunes, sparky and imaginative. B also is just excellent, zipping nicely through many of favourite songs and styles...
In the end, i guess i can just try and judge on the last few additions... and with the likes of Moanin' and the wonderful bobbi Humphrey, B takes it by a whisker. Apologies A, a fab list.

I admire A's eccentricity, but there's more I like in B overall. The Dillard and Clark clinches it.

A would be great to put on a spaceship and send out to outer space so alien civilizations can discover earth music. Diverse and smart and showy. I wish B had a bit of A and A a bit of B.
B
probably, maybe not, but too late i've typed it now
Anyhow, it's all about sharing good music, so good luck to both.

Blimey, Rhythm of the Night, I was probably about 12 the last time I heard that. Cool.
Anyway, I think that I’ve voted for both of these lists in every round so far, so I’m happy for either to win. However, I’m going to scribble my little x in to the A box for including a bunch of tracks/artists that I would’ve loved to have used in my own list if only I had the balls to do so.
Well played gents.

A's five new ones are ambitious and 4/5ths inspiring. A has been one of my favourite lists since the start. So, A
Well done to both for reaching the final.
And well done and thanks to Masked Man for organising and for the others that helped.
