I think it is policy to open as close to each other as possible. In Wycombe they were across the road from each other. The new Aldi in Barnstaple has opened about 200 yards from the Lidl which opened last year.

How about that for retailing practice but I wonder which will reap most reward in terms of mullah and customer loyalty and numbers.
