Hot Lips Houlihan RIP
I read somewhere that comedy writers for US television avoid putting M*A*S*H on their CV, because it "dates" them. Such a shame that it has come to that. M*A*S*H is one of the all-time great sitcoms and the final episode is one of the highest rated TV broadcasts in the history of American television. It had the most colorful ensemble cast, with one-liners being spouted a mile a minute. Hawkeye, Trapper John, the ever lovable Radar, and of course Major "Hot Lips" Houlihan; over the course of eleven years, we came to know these characters as if they were real. Now Sally Kellerman, the "Hot Lips" from Altman's movie, has passed on, aged 84, and the M*A*S*H phenomenon becomes an even more distant memory. RIP Sally Kellerman AKA Hot Lips Houlihan

Dear Googamooga -
thank you for informing us. It is slightly embarrassing to have to correct you in this tragic context.
You confused Major Houlihan in M*A*S*H (the movie) with the same person in M*A*S*H (the television series).
For reference, see:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sally_Kellerman
and

As you write, Sally Kellerman passed away (on February 24).
(Both actresses were born in 1937, and they did have quite a resemblance, judging by later photographs.)
However: again thank you, and may Sally Kellerman rest in peace.

On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

It is slightly embarrassing to have to correct you in this tragic context, but GM specifically said Sally Kellerman from the movie. He didn’t confuse them at all.
You come at the Queen, you best not miss.

I stand corrected.
Thank you Minnie Cheddars. I read too fast, that is it.
