I think any of the teams left in it could win, but Ajax have to be the neutral's favourites. Not only are they the proverbial minnows but they play such terrific football.
I reeeeeeally hope they win.

Fantastic for Spurs last night - there's no possible argument with a victory over two legs like that.

Great substitution too by Pocchetino - bringing on Llorente for the injured Sissoko. He's obviously listening to someone :)

I rarely get to watch football these days because my family have no interest and what little time we have for watching telly is used up with something we can all bear.
The last few days they went to Paris while I was working so I got to see Liverpool v Chelsea, Barça v Man U and Man City v Spurs.
Bloody hell. I don’t remember football being this good when I used to watch it regularly.

That is really interesting Tym. I don't watch nearly as much as I once did either but this season I have seen some truly magnificent matches. The first half of the second Man City v Liverpool league match this season was the best 45 minutes I've ever seen in English football. And there have many more that were absolutely superb too.

Maybe the game has taken a turn for the better and, if it has, I think a lot of it is directly traceable to Guardiola and his insistence on playing open, attacking football to try to win every match.

If Liverpool can score at least one goal tonight.... and not concede more than three... I think they'll consider it a job well done. 2-1 would be a great score for them and make them favourites to progress.

Felt a bit sorry for Liverpool. Undone by brilliance and just couldn't put the ball in the net. They could easily have drawn 2-2.

One of those games were nothing seemed to go right. An away goal could have given Liverpool a fighting chance.

We had a debate at work about the merit of the Liverpool forwards compared to Barca's yesterday..... I could only say that there isn't one of Mane, Salah & Firmino you would have over Suarez, let alone Messi (based purely on where they are as players now). Last night kind of confirmed that.

I’m surprised there’s any debate at all. I can’t believe anyone would choose any of Liverpool’s front three over Suárez, he’s on a level above those three.

No. I think that's because your postperson thinks your a miserable twat that would moan no matter what time you received it, so they think "Fuck him" and deliberately arrives late.

And who could blame them?

The soup was a bullneck named Jonstone.

But Origi....
