This track (which I’ve now played 3 times) starts off with a light touch, almost poppy, but then turns into a monster, with a stunning growling sax leading the way.

Come on chaps, give this a play.

Pretty good album, not as good as the previous one though.

None by Love that's for sure but by others I'm not so sure.

It's quite impressive but a bit "difficult" and not really my thing on 1st listen.

One reviewer on Progarchives said:

"Imagine yourself in a smoke filled night club of the late fifties, grooving to the heart-melting serenades of a lovely female jazz vocalist as she nails more sharps and flats than a box of knives, and effortlessly hops octaves note-to-note as if her voice knew no range limitations."

Got the original Raw Material album, worth quite a few quid I understand.

The Ill Wind album is pretty good, the only one they managed.

Really nice album by this Australian outfit, jangly guitars, good vocals, nice tunes, little noisy, little bit punky.

A vinyl copy of that arrived here today, I like how among it all they channel the spirit of The Go-Betweens...

He looks like a wizened old man here C, can’t imagine anyone would buy it because of the cover. However I do have this album, played it quite a while ago.

I know I’ve said it before C. but I couldn’t buy this album simply because of the abysmal cover design. Narrow minded, should judge something by the cover etc. but there it is.

Absolutely huge, without doubt one of the biggest bands in the world during the 80s, the antipathy of punk, successful at a time when they really shouldn’t have been. Despite this they created some great music coinciding with the advent of the CD age but does anyone play them now?
