How did you manage that?
I think it might have been playing when I went ten pin bowling. Although I seem to remember seeing the video so I could be wrong.
What I meant was how did you manage to only ever hear one of their songs . I wish I could have managed that

I know ... I'm just being funny ... humour being subjective of course!
I had stopped listening to music on the radio by the mid 90's. So unless someone leant me a cd I just wouldn't have heard Blur, Supergrass et al. Finding Parklife utterly irritating caused me to make a strong effort to avoid them entirely. Seeing interviews with Damien Allbran didn't make me change my mind obviously.
I've actually never heard anything by Suede, Verve et al. The ex rather liked Oasis, so oddly I've heard their first 3 albums ... I lost those in the divorce settlement ... it was tough, but I coped.

Surprisingly, it doesn't ring any bells. I recognise pretty well everyone in that chart run-down except for him.
Bugger off.

What fantastic track and an absolute brilliant album
It featured in a Prog Synch Listen a year or so ago
Full of wondrous music

As late as that?
I've never been a radio listener - I want to listen to what I want to listen to now and not listen to something that is not my cup of darjeeling. Life is too short
I occasionally listened to Radio Caroline in the 1960s
Alan Freeman, John Peel and Tommy Vance on the 70s and that was about it
Then Peel started slagging off PinkFloyd and all the bands he loved/elevated and promoted. I didn't like that
Once a band got famous he'd ditch them like a red hot potato - Tyrannosaurus Rex always comes to mind
No, I didn't like that

Well, you’ve missed out on a handful of great songs! I say handful because I think it was a rapid downhill slide, but the album ‘Signing Off’ is a fucking classic and well worth your time. I was always really partial as well to ‘Don’t Break My Heart’ - especially the 12 inch- maybe as I have really great memories of it playing at parties in Camberwell at the time - I’m on my phone so it’s fiddly to post but go and have a listen and see what you think!
You come at the Queen, you best not miss.

In fact I just went to listen to Don’t Break My Heart Now and welled up and got chills. Happy, squatty times!

I think I did listen to that album but it didn't make any impression.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

I'm kind of interested just to hear what they sound like on other songs.

They started out as a regular roots reggae band
The whole of the first two albums are aces.

There's quite a few British MoR artists in that rundown I'm fortunate to be totally unfamiliar with... and then there's Benny Hill at number 1!!
He fits the bill.

Probably, but I'm pretty sure that the "sped-up jumping-up-and-down-and-running-around" saxophone that was ubiquitous in his show must exist on a record with his name on it.
Edit: there's a 1972 follow-up single called Fad-Eyed Fal that sunk without trace... andf there's this:

He has a whole hour of 'tunes' at least.
I have a copy of this
including his first couple of singles.

Thanks. I listened to some of the first link. Not the kind of thingthat excites me, but certainly very listenable when I'm in a certain mood.

Nah, he had several other hits, I've got a few of them, bought second-hand in the Sixties. Transistor Radio and Pepys's Diary come to mind.
Just checked out discogs - eight singles in all, three or four albums, one of which apparently features him singing.
