Interesting - certainly an amazing achievement to have written so many mind-blowing songs, and there are certainly many many more that didn't make that list that are equally amazing.

Wow, can't believe nobody else voted for 'From A Buick 6', such a glorious tune.

Really ? Its a fine enough song but it would be my least favorite on Highway 61.

I do not have very obscurist taste in Dylan and as I suspected, of my twenty:
10 were in the top twenty
18 in the top forty
and all of them in the top fifty
Complete Ramones Mp3 set on its way

Only 3 breaking 100 points shows the spread is wide, as anticipated.

had all top 5 in my list-all were in the top 8 in my list
9 of my songs didn't make the top 20
my average was 21.35 although mostly because of Love Sick at 82 (only one I picked not in the top 51)
surprised Blowin in the wind was rated so low

I was sure mighty confused hearing folks talk about the final list when I didn't see it. Anyway, I see now that it's on page 3.

My list:

1. Highway 61 Revisited
2. Like A Rolling Stone
3. A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall
4. Idiot Wind
5. It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue
6. Desolation Row
7. On The Road Again
8. Tombstone Blues
9. Subterranean Homesick Blues
10. Queen Jane Approximately
11. Visions of Johanna
12. Tangled Up in Blue
13. Ballad of a Thin Man
14. Stuck Inside of Mobile With the Memphis Blues Again
15, Most Likely You Go Your Way and I’ll go Mine
16. The Groom’s Still Waiting at the Altar
17. Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window
18. It’s Alright Ma (I’m Only Bleeding)
19. One More Cup of Coffee
20. You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere

No big surprises, but a LOT left off! "Blood in My Eyes," "Changing of the Guards," and "Not Dark Yet" among the many 'bubbling under'.

George Jackson (Big Band Version)
Percy’s Song
Lay Down Your Weary Tune
I’ll Keep It With Mine
When I Paint My Masterpiece
If Not For You
Love Minus Zero
Rita May
Where Are You Tonight? (Journey Through Dark Heat)
Tears of Rage

Ten favourites that didn't make the 82

"Hurricane" in the top ten is pretty crazy, on a line with Ram being declared BCB's 9th favorite album of all-time many years ago. It was among my considerations that didn't make it, but above "Visions of Johanna?"

Eh. It's OK.

It's my #1 mostly because it's the most distinctly 'Dylanesque' track ever. Anyone who says Dylan's not a great singer should stop here first. He just gives it so much character. I've never heard a cover that approaches it. (Probably the only Dylan song that's true of, other than maybe "Sara.")

I'm a central/Northern New Jersey boy, that song hits home.

Hurricane is indeed a great track, used to great effect in "Dazed and Confused", I remember it was rather startling at the time to hear a protest type song again from Dylan.
Desire is a great album , "Black Diamond Bay" is another fantastic track that is seldom mentioned.

Terry Reid's version of "Highway 61" is no slouch....
