Yes. Very moving but also very good

I would have voted for her whether she had cancer or not.

She didn't need sympathy - she can pat herself on the back

Of course I know that these shows are totally staged and ultimately fake.

The intent in this case being to convince all and sundry that the abominable Simon Cowbell is a real human with a heart after all.

But I cried - of course I cried! :P

Yes, totally staged but not totally fake.

Of course Cowell knows that any tear jerker is going to draw in the audience - it is a ploy that contestants increasingly use. But Cowell's team seeks these people out because they increase viewing figures.

Why not totally fake? Well, I would be amazed if this women said she had cancer and didn't and, just as significantly, said she had a 2% chance of survival if that wasn't true
