Slightly after their golden period, but still pretty great. Loved the last two sets, so I'm looking forward to this one.

Preordered. The last sets from '68 and '69 were copyright dumps online, no physical media. This new set is the first CD/LP since '67s Wild Honey album.

Yeah these are on Spotify along with an excellent Beach Boys 1968 Tour set which is just fantastic, from the Friends tour. 114 tracks, haven't seen that its available on CD.

The 5-cd listing is up on amazon.com/.de/.fr but not .co.uk yet. French amazon cheapest by a good bit for some reason (~€77)
Really looking forward to this one - Sunflower one of my favourite BB albums. Great to get physical releases of the BB stuff.

I was looking for this release yesterday and strangely found UK listings for all versions other than the 5cd version which is where the gold is for the obsessed music fandan.
The Beach Boys are one of the small number of bands/artists that my love has grown for with age. Loads of new vocal and instrumental wonders in this box.

Currently £66 for a preorder of the 5 CD version from Amazon France is the best price at the moment
When I see these releases I always wish I could get them minus the remastered albums and live material.
Remasters generally sound little different from the releases you already have and if you are a fan you have a ton of live versions of the songs in question.

I bought Surf’s Up around the time it was released. It was my first Beach Boys album and I really liked it a lot. I picked up Holland later and while it wasn’t as strong as SU imo it was still good. I never could get into the surf music much beyond the singles on the radio growing up. I eventually got Pet Sounds to see what all the fuss was and I liked it well enough but Surf’s Up is still my favorite.

They're both great albums. My appreciation for the Beach Boys has only grown over the decades but I've always liked them. Sunflower is almost perfect and Surf's Up isn't too far behind (though I've never cared for "A Day in the Life of a Tree"). These kinds of box sets always offer a lot of material that I play once and forget about, though they also usually have a few tracks that I really like and haven't heard previously.

It'll be € 87.99 at my local retailer's (the 5CD set). There's also a quite attractive 4LP box, that goes for € 79.99 - but as the CDs do have 130+ tracks, and the LPs 64 in all, I know where my preference lies.

It will be a great personal pleasure to hand over the money to Paul, owner of the shop, and get that Feel Flows collection; it's a long-standing tradition, since I am a regular visitor there for 4 decades. It's not often that something like this occurs, I guess; but wait... are there more such 'veterans' here at BCB?

What's also nice: that shop has always been a family business; and it is relatively small-scale, but they have a great ordering service there.
On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

The artwork is a bit disappointing, but I can live with it.

I agree. It's ghastly but the music will be great.

Yesterday I saw that the physical releases will be with us later than originally intended. It'll be August 27. Confirmed by various sources. One guess is that this delay may be due to a higher number of early orders, compared to what was expected.

£87 pre order for the 5 cd version on Amazon UK and £90 from HMV
Bit expensive. £60 would be more realistic.
