i was more dixie, although they got tangled up for awhile. jax ended up gettin bought out by pabst in texas (i think).. dixie's still around, but they changed the name now.

not that i am at ALL a beer expert, mwhhaha, so someone can correct me. i've been a jack (daniels) girl for many a year.

reap LOVED abita, though.

Just know of Jax thru' James Lee Burke's novels - not heard of abita, tho' see it's a brewery 43 miles north of N. O., and it looks like it's available over here. Shall have to get some for a Friday listen in Reap's honour.
