Did Brown & Root eventually become Halliburton? Or am I getting that wrong?

Is it just me, or does the rest of this post sound like...

'And this is John Peel, we just heard a rather nice dub version of the more recent single from dub poet Benjamin Zephaniah, after that we heard the Mighty Wah and before that it was Stump with something from their session for us from last year. Speaking of sessions, here's another from the mighty Fall's latest session for us just this past week, with a new song called 'Live Dreams of Post-Pandemic Man'...

queue fast rockabilly shuffle and Marc E Smith:

'Spain doesn't have anything like the gig culture of the UK or US - ah
There is almost no local band scene - ah
And gigs are more like big events than the kind of thing you're all used to - ah.
Apart from bloody TEFL teachers playing Irish music -ah.

Live dreams of post-pandemic man - ah
The live dreams of post-pandemic man - ah'

Hi LMG. You're correct: Brown & Root first became Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) and then they disappeared in the Abyss that's Halliburton

My last gig before lockdown - they played all of 'I Should Coco'. It'll live long in the memory because I love Supergrass and it was the last gig before my longest ever gig-drought
