Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

List A is boring guff. Even the reliably madcap Captain Beefheart is treading water here.
List B has several interesting and unusual things on it. The Whyte Boots' Nightmare is a highlight. Awesome.
B wins.

yes, it does.
i find myself agreeing with others on the solid run on A from 2-6, although the rest is alright.
i think B has a groovy run from 1-6, and the rest is alright. that last track grew on me as it went along.
it's a hard pick, really. in the end, i guess B just has more meat on dem bones for me... along with some stellar gweetar work bestrewn along the way.

Re: BCB CUP 2017 - Round 1 Match 8
There's a whole lot of good on A, but outside of Beefheart and The Left Banke (both songs I know well, so nothing new about them) nothing approaching great.
B is a lot more interesting, and has Sister Rosetta. And that Whyte Boots track is...something.

. Got Jimi's autograph after the show and went on to see him several times that year

Hard to vote against Rosetta and Bobbie. But it's

A is monster. Absolutely love it. Lots of good, strong, guitar stuff. The Allah-Las are new to me, and that track is a corker.

Not feeling either of these. A plays it a bit too "BCB Cup" and B just doesn't move me. I am voting A in protest at the unquestioning acceptance of stuff like Sister Rosetta Tharpe even though it's old and boring.

Jeez, someone risks something close to industrial, and it's a band as limp and unoriginal as Stabbing Westward. I despair sometimes.
This list is half BCB-core, half indie-pop. Which seems cynical. Good to see Destroyer making an outing again, it doesn't feel like a BCB cup without this album.Only decent track on the list, anyway.
Ok, B has it, just for the Jackson C Frank and Dengue Fever. I don't need to hear anymore.

Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Both lists good to great with little chaff but B is more "me"
Nothing to add about Sister Rosetta and the Whyte Boots - only this: it's a bloody stupid band name, but that L.A. Salami track is amazing!
