A starts off with the worst track from SF Sorrow, but somewhat makes up for it with "Train to Disaster."
B has a few tracks I enjoy, but really loses me with some of the selections.

A only really gets it worked when it stays tried-and-tested while B is also rather spotty. I'd probably rather hear what A does next though.

Couldn't disagree with you more. Finding a slow, sleazy funk jam from Ronnie Lane is a great find, not only is it a really good track on its own terms, but it's also so unexpected. I'd much rather see something like that picked then some safe BCB friendly track like "The Poacher". It actually made me seriously consider giving B my vote.

Close one. The middle of A looks a lot like genre picking (need a jazz track need a folk track need a blues track and so on) Not that I can prove that intent of course. And while the Fifth Dimension is a pretty good cover, it seems a bit superfluous when you could have picked Laura Nyro. Poor Bellowhead and Fairport choices too IMO though I applaud their inclusion. On balance

Another decisive victory - we have A 28, B 19. B was Purgatory Brite. Commiserations, but I need five new songs ASAP from A!

The losers get revealed but the winners stay anonymous until we're down to the last list.
