Simon: Thanks for a great review of my album.
Much appreciated that you took the time, to listen and then to write down your thoughts.
Have some ideas for the next one, but my guess its going to take a bit longer this time.
Need a break, re-charge the batteries, so to say! :-)

Well, I have also been listen to this new album regularly. Difficult to go against anything said by Simon really, this is a truly enjoyable listen. Every time I have it on I seem to pick up a little more detail.

This also does seem a natural progression from the previous albums and is a very accomplished, professional outing. If I had heard this playing in a store whilst browsing music, I would undoubtedly have asked for a copy of this amongst my purchases.

Well done Leif, very impressive indeed (and I am not taking anything away from the previous albums either, by the way!)

I just received it the day before yesterday! And so listened to it yesterday. I'm not sure what to say about it yet. I found that it brought a lot of images and thoughts to mind, but I don't know if I should talk about that, as it's not necessarily part of the music -- or just talk about the music? Unlike some previous work (Motorik), it seemed to encompass more different moods. As such, it's a little harder to get a grip on it the first time. I guess I should listen to it a couple more times before I really start discussing it. In general, I liked the more amorphous tracks the most. I found them truly beautiful.

I'll come back in a day or two with some thoughts...

It's interesting that "Human Nature" is the song with clanking, metal, robotic sounds. Was this irony intentional?

well, in a way it was,
the music came first and after some thinking the title :-)
but for me it got more to do with the human spirit, the strive to never give up,
fight for your rights, or something ( the Churchill sample )
that connects for me with the drive of the track, ever going on, just moving forward
like an unstoppable force
dont know if that makes sence

the Stratagems mission is soon over!

Well, its only one week left, and after that, our commander in chief must do some adjustments to the list of the faithful few.

So far we got acknowledgment from 22 of our guys out there. Sadly we are still missing feedback from 10!
Hopefully we can establish contact during the week, but so far it seems like the mission is a failure regarding the obligation that all of the faithful few accepted during the initial stage of the mission. Nevertheless, the feedback so far is a great success and brings satisfaction to the commander in chief. In case you suspect that your feedback been lost in bad transmission during the ash cloud incident over Iceland, check the feedback page to see if your name is listed, if not, feel free and try again!

According to Ryan Air, its safe to transmit!

Hopefully we can keep the list intact, if not, well then we all have to face the fact, that nothing goes according to plan!

Commander in chief / Conny Olivetti

The video reminds me of early David Lynch. A joyfully, disturbing visual to say the least. Love the music! Really looking forward to it.

thanks!

track list so far

ard copy will go out to the faithful few.
The Faithful few?
Those who signed up for a hard copy of Stratagems in return for some feedback.
32 signed up, 26 delivered feedback, so 6 will not get their free copy of Edgeland.
Before release their will be an email confirmation to the Faithful few, checking if
delivery information is still the same, and if they still want a free copy in return for some feedback.

Dont think I bother with verification, its to much work. I send it out and happy for those who
feel the need to give some feedback. As simple as that. No obligation what so ever.

Remember, feedback can be a simple
- Thanks for the CD, like/dislike it a lot, or a small novel in
the form of a review

Dunno about anyone else but I'm looking forward to this, and slightly jealous of your prolificness.
