I'm in Manchester overnight at least once a month, and no fucker ever wants to come out and play.

With plenty of notice I would certainly do it, and also offer a put-up for a few folks who had too far to get home.
You come at the Queen, you best not miss.

In fact I think I organised a Manc jolly up before and quite a few people came. Or am I imagining it? Hell, I can't remember!

We've had two Manchester jolly ups in the last couple of years, and you didn't attend either of them.

If I remember rightly, you organised a Preston one, but everyone else decided to go to Manchester so you just went there instead.

Can I add, I have managed to organise and attend a SF JU with little difficulty.

Re: Manchester Winter Jolly Up
I've never done a JU, but would like to. I used to live in Manchester, in Chorlton, years ago, and now I live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, but I'll be in Manchester for the Magazine show at The Academy on February 14th. I also hope to be home around the 8th for my nan's 90th birthday, bless her. I don't know where the Marble Arch is but within those two dates I could be there if it happened, with Sibella too. February is still technically winter, right?

Aside from whenever the JU happens (and Feb can be Winter, which tends to last until mid-June in Manchester), it'd be great to meet up. Any excuse and all that. Top. Sound.
