I'll be a bit later because of the pooch.
But not that much later.

I confirm non attendance but for those greatly concerned for my wellbeing this stupid job interview thing is going through yet another sodding round if I pass yesterdays test. I still don't even know what the salary is, it better be worth this.

I'm reckoning 2pm on boat race day might not be the best possible time to get public transport out of Putney, so will probably be a few pints later.

Leaving home in half an hour as I fancy some time up in London record shopping (not that I can afford it you understand).

Judging by the attendees , this will be a private meeting of various Doyens, Illuminati and parvenu's. The elite nature of the Jolly up, and the delicate nature of the security arrangements in place around some members will almost certainly mean that the press and all paparazzi will be excluded, and that a super injunction will be in place in the case of any photographs being leaked to the Board.

9.35pm. I'm just back from it. It was great to see so many other doyens (Slider, Huw, Pete, Chris, Andy, James - hope I didn't miss anyone there) and other arrivistes such as Yomp. And well done to Yves for coming all the way from Belgium and Kaspar from Greece via Hemel Hempstead. It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since The Moon Under Water. Whilst I'm not a very regular poster these days, the friends I've made via theMOJO and BCB boards have made a big positive difference to my life and I'd like to thank you all, especially The Slider, for making it happen all those years ago.

In other news, I can report that The Modernist has had a few more than a couple...
