This is a much better John & Bev selection than the last one.

John in great voice, great instrumentation.

Then there's Bert performing a classic.

What a master!

A close match

Tough but, B has it

B has it

So there's that Nick Drake influence he always went to great pains to deny!

Suffice to say nothing here makes me change my mind about anything I've said about either of these artists here previously. B.

Stellar guitar but piss poor vocals in both.
I prefer A.

Two decent picks, but I'm afraid that A is edging towards the obvious here. Ok, it's not "Solid Air", but it's not far off. For me though, it's all a bit polished and lacking in emotion and grit for me. Too smoooooth.

B is a much more intimate, low-key kinda thing, and I think Bert's vocals suit it perfectly. This is what folk should be, really, isn't it, just one person, a guitar, and a really poor hairstyle and shirt.

Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Two very nice picks, but A has the edge for me, today.

Titanic battle. Bert is easy on the palate here and the gweetarwork is sublime. Great pick.
Stormbringer though is a terrific record and this is one of my favorite tracks of it. Paul Harris' piano is just great!

A: Nice, definitely what I was hoping for from this cup. Also new to my ears having not paid much attention to this sort of ilk in the past. A bit of percussive strumming typically always gets me where I live. A bit Nick Drake to me in bits.
B: The top of the mountain. How anybody plays like that with such ease...unimpeachable.
