The mighty Tull with an awesome track!

Top-notch folk

The other selection didn't do much for me. Pleasant enough though

Easily, A has it

A has it

As I assume everyone here knows, Tull is a band I have a lot of ambivalence toward. There's some stuff I like a lot, some I find distancing and unapproachable, and a lot I ultimately can take or leave. A is slightly to the positive side, but there are many, many songs from the period that would be better - and deeper - choices.

Don't know much about B, and don't know that it's rocking my world in a huge way, but a bit of zydeco jive is a welcome change from all the trad and rocky singer/songwriter covers.

the Rufus Jaganeaux track sounded like a Northern Pub singalong and was nothing what I was expecting. Lindisfarne do this kind of thing much better.
Skating away is classic Tull, not the most creative of pics but it's great and takes this easily.

Is that the genuine album cover art of A? That's atrocious. This is really quite annoying, folk for people with ADHD. The xylophone can do one. "Electric bass" is to the folk cup what "arbitrary string section" was to the 70s cup.

B's also an atrocious acoustic pub rock singalong. What gives?

Abstain.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

I'm down with the pub style.

I'm sorry, but i don't really connect to either of these much, and am finding it hard to choose one. I may come back later.

Like both, but it's nice to have some cajun (with Sonny Landreth in the line-up, I've just learned...)

Skating is a great track, it feels like it belongs in this Cup but like the ramshackle way of B and I want to reward it.

A: I've always enjoyed this one and generally can make room for Tull on my plate.
B: That's some funky drunken creole. I've found myself in road side joints when stuff like this has happened spontaneously. Ragged but right.
