A is a solid, competent, capable, well-performed, enjoyable, nice bit of jazz-funk with neither style obtruding too much and getting awkward (apart from the guitar bit, which is a bit gurny).

But as others have said, what exactly is there that makes it stand out from everything else? It just sounds like some seasoned session guys made an audition tape.

B is a bizarre Pistols pick - an uninspired rock trudge.

A forgettable, and forgotten, Pistols track vs a fantastic piece of funk jazz.

A is pleasant enough even if I feel it comes and goes without saying much at all, like you'd place it in the middle of a "jazz for jazz club ambience" playlist just to fill out the time for the next live act. B's also quite good, and I haven't revisited the album and indeed band in years so it's nice to hear them again - even if I can definitely see where Fish is coming from with his remark about it too. B I suppose takes it for me.

A - nice funky jazz with even some fusion feel to it. Very enjoyable and may add it to a playlist Thanks

B- weaker track from an out date album. Yeah it had its moments but its been too many years.

I like "New York" but track A sounds fresh and very enjoyable to my ears.
