Never heard any track by either of these before.
a - Couldn't be more 80s. Surely if the cup were meant to represent the decade, it would be wall to wall power ballads. Those percussive smacks are a horrible noise. Like being smacked round the face with a wet cod over and over again. And the vocals are horrible. This really is tedious shit of a kind I never want to hear again, and I'm bailing before four minutes before my cheeks develop a nasty case of fish-rash. 1 / 10
b - if Maarts is right, and no reason to believe otherwise, this is a case of Before the Fall, because it's a damn site more fun than anything I've heard from Fugazi. 7 / 10

I am going to go B in this match up but that video is a bit, wrong.

I'm amused at the vitriol for A.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Amazing A is getting so much stick compared to B. Any old warmed over punk metal will do if it's up against pop music I guess.

You're hopeless. Not a pop bone in your body.

Just different ones. Unlike you, though, none between my ears.
You're really putting that execrable cheese forward as pop music? I'd rather listen to Bonnie Tyler.

It's absolutely chockful of hooky catchiness, great chord changes (note the sudden switches from minor to major) and the chorus is magnificent.

It's a pretty decent pop song but I think you're going way over the top there G.

I do like the way these things polarise opinions, tho'. We see similar things happen in those WONDERFUL 'VERSUS' THREADS

I was ready to vote against Laura Branigan's played-to-death ditty, but B turned out to be worse.

Says the man who knocked me out of the '90s Cup final by voting for Hole. Was that some kind of belated revenge? :x
