I actually made the post about abstaining yesterday before my match had finished and while it was still quite even. So it's nothing to do with whether I think abstainers affected my match or not. I think you're kind of missing my point ...

I know I'm never going to win this thing. My tastes are too limited to appeal to the musos on here. In fact I'd probably be horrified if I did win. The lists that win this are usually bland and characterless and aimed at the middle ground. And that's not me. My point is that if you don't like either list, then just move onto the next match. Don't post "abstain". It just makes you look like a twat. Or a prog goon, if you prefer. Vote for one list or the other, in the spirit of the Cup.

Nah, I'd rather vent. Call me a twat, but if I see two really dull lists that don't deserve a vote from me, then I'll comment on that. I feel that after enduring 10 tracks of bland Mojo-ness, or 10 youtube videos of the inner label of northern soul 45s, I've earned that right to be a twat.

Due to delays and general board wonkiness, I had a late start kicking the quarterfinals off on Friday.

And as I don't want to be up at 3am on Saturday night, the matches will be extended and the voting period will end on Sunday February 26th at NOON MST / 7:00 PM GMT rather than early Sunday morning.

Those going through to the semis need to get me their next five tracks after the matches close please. Thanks.
