In a nutshell, this is how it works:

You make a list of 10 songs, prog, progressive, whatever. Rules for all that are still being eked out.
Per list PB will draw one song against a song from another list. We vote on that poll.
When voting closes, the submitter of the winning song gets 2 points, the loser 0. These points will all be tallied up and shown on the Prog Premiership Ladder.
At the end, the overall winner will be crowned King of Prog. The loser will be relegated to the Realm of the Cloth-Eared.

Yes - that is key.

Last year some voted against tracks that they didn't consider 'prog'

We need to consider a broader 'Prog Corner' definition perhaps....?

One less surely (in that you don't play yourself).

Then again, if you did play yourself, you would need one more. :? .

This is right except it's me that will do the drawing not PB. In practice the songs are chosen in the order they come on the list unless two songs the same are drawn together in which case I'll juggle it about a bit to avoid a clash. Also 1 point each for a draw.

And, yes, I will require one song LESS than the number of entrants in each list. If we can get 16 entrants it will be plenty I think, so 15 songs each would be needed.

Excellent, thanks guys.

Damn, we're almost at 16 now - time for the Cape of Prog-nostication to be donned, and one fangetastic list of robustness to be begun. :ugeek:

I think I'll make 16 the maximum as any more will take too long for this kind of competition, so if everyone sends me 15 songs I'll get organising.

i have no earthly clue. however, he could be the pope, and i would hope he would understand that he didn't make the 16 cutoff line. with no fault to him, of course. whoever he is, the bastard.
