'Match 14 A' is a delightful list

'Match 9 B' is no slouch either

Soundchaser's list had some songs I like on it, even if I didn't end up voting for it.

You can hardly call 14 A a prog goon.

He's got some progressive rock and some folk there but no Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, etc.

Richard Sound Chaser's list ticked more boxes than some other Mojo-BCB-Axis Approved lists for me. Some really spiffing picks in there. And I Iike punks and black people's music!

Disappointed at the small-mindedness at times.

Can't argue with such a majority voting for the other list though. Whatever floats their boat. In a way I'm glad 'we're' still very much non-grazia.

History tells us that the majority are not always right

Nay, the majority are not always right

I'm not saying they're right.

They are there.

My list was especially devised for a glorious first round exit at the hands of the BCB taste police, although I wasn't going to waste my time putting up links. I didn't mind putting up 10 songs to be savaged by a majority I've got nothing musically in common with, but anything other than that made me feel faintly I'll.

Crash and burn, my friends.

Crash and burn.

I'm sure mine will go the same way. I'm going to get a savage beating.

Savage, I tell you

Cheers Andy and nice to see you posting a bit more here. Hopefully, I've learnt not to let myself get wound up anymore, so no more toys out of the pram for me. I like BCB for a small group of people, really, but they are friends and they make this place more than worthwhile...long live Prog Corner!

Maybe, but we are the prog goons and we're not gonna take it. Never did and never will.

Long live prog.

Seriously, I've had "Islands" on my long list in the past. One of my all-time favourite pieces of music. No doubt, most people didn't even bother to listen to it before dismissing it.

Islands is an absolutely beautiful song, one of King Crimson"s finest. I like it as much as Starless or I Talk To The Wind.

I like Islands too. I liked your whole list apart from U2 and Oasis as I'm just not a fan of either.

I didn't submit a list (6 consecutive first round exits takes its toll) so I can't criticise really.

There's no point in any of the prog elite entering a list, except in the interest of ruffling feathers. I almost didn't bother, but I saw some of the brethren were in, so I thought it would be a good opportunity for a wind up. However, that said, I love all the songs I posted and I just knew Oasis and U2 would see me safetly eliminated. But what's not to like about Champagne Supernova, or Bad? Great songs both. One of my favourite musical memories is of U2 performing Bad at Live Aid and they were exceptional. I've got a live version of Bad on the Wide Awake In America mini-album and I think I like that more than the studio original.

I seriously considered entering last years Prog Cup list for a laugh, but in the end decided to give myself at least a 5% chance of progressing.
