What's the easiest way to get from the airport to the city centre at 4pm on a Wednesday?
Is a taxi expensive?
Am I better to get a bus?
A tram?

Re: Edinburgh
Just get the airport bus or the tram. They both take about half an hr to get to Princes St. The trams are very regular. A taxi will cost you over 20quid so unless you;re in a mad hurry there's really no need

For the airport bus aye but for the trams you have to buy your ticket from the wee machines on the platform - I don't think you can buy once you're on the tram

Bus was very easy last time I was there. But the tram didn't exist then.
I kept thinking "swim as far as you can, swim as far as you can".

Re: Edinburgh
We took a cab from the airport but we were knackered from the 14 hrs on the plane so I "splurged" for the taxi. We got to the hotel to find out they overbooked so they put us up in another one of their places that we actually preferred for location.

Spending a few days here in July.
It's been over thirty years since I was last here
Any and all suggestions welcome for what would be worth seeing/doing/avoiding.
Ta in advance.

Walk the water of leith path.
Go the police museum to see the business card case made from the skin of burke (or maybe hare).
