There is a word for that.

Yes, that's a wonderful smell. Also, the smell after summer rain hits a freshly cut lawn which has not been 100% raked. I used to get this a lot on golf courses back when I used to play (I played over 100 rounds a year between ages 14 & 19 - not bad seeing as how short our seasons were). That one only got ruined when said lawn (fairway and/or green in this case) had just been chemically fertilized.

the Cookie Monster's first name is "Sid".. :D

Cookie Monster’s First Name Is Sid, And Other Icon’s “Real” Names

From Ronald McDonald to “Little Orphan Annie” Warbucks and Homer J. (the “J” stands for Jay!) Simpson, fictional characters often receive not just nicknames, but full names and backstories—even if those names are seldom, if ever, uttered.

For instance, Sesame Street's lovable cookie-devouring Cookie Monster has a real first name, and it isn't Cookie: it's Sid. And Cap'n Crunch? His name is Cap'n Horatio Magellan Crunch. (Though whether or not he is a true Captain is up for debate. Based on his uniform, Mr. Crunch may actually be a Commander.)

In the video above for Mental Floss, John Green runs through 44 cases of well-known fictional characters and their largely-forgotten or underused “real” names.

A tenement is a type of building shared by multiple dwellings, typically with flats or apartments on each floor and with shared entrance stairway access, on the British Isles notably common in Scotland.

You don't have to do it "by" 21 March - you have to do it "on" 21 March. It is a snapshot of the population on a particular day - or night, actually, I think.

I love doing the census.
