Sorry to hear this John. 93, she saw a lot in those years, eh? All the best to you and your family in this time of loss.

Got my test results back. I'm a hypochondriac and when I saw a fairly high glucose rate, I immediately thought diabetes.

My doctor emailed me back saying it was only borderline high, not to worry, and no kidney problems.

He's thinking enlarged prostate so prescribed me something.

Belated commiserations to Hugh, but 93 is a fair old age, and I'm sure you and yours have a lot to celebrate about her life.

As for me, it's my mum's birthday, the first without my dad, so it's going to be a strange old day. Luckily my brother has had the decency to visit, with his son, so all her immediate family will be here. Hopefully, it'll all go well.

Nothing happened today. Woke up, ate a little breakfast, watched a baseball game on TV, wasted a few more hours on the computer, went to the gym for about an hour, came home, ate supper and back to the computer. I ain't complaining.

Very sorry to hear this Hugh. It's a terrible thing to go through even if she did reach a good age. My commiserations.

My assistant's been in hospital since a week ago last Wednesday. That's meant 12+ hour days for me Monday-Thursday with 5 hour weekend days. This shit is for the birds, I'm exhausted.

Condolences, Hugh - a good age, as you say, but losing a parent is always painful.

Meanwhile, here's some good news:

I got 5704.60 Swiss francs from the local "bankruptcy office".

It's arrears from a former employer, a big printing company that went bust almost nine years ago.

This is really really unexpected, like manna from heaven! :P
