Pistol

Anyone watching this series on HULU ?
I nearly turned it off after the first 5 minutes but its gradually got better. Suffers from the usual rock biopic problems with overtly expository dialogue, but it goes up a gear when Rotten and Malcom McLaren make their entrances. Only half way through the second episode but its entertaining at least.
(Not sure why it took me so long to work out is was Chrissie Hynde working behind the counter in Sex)

It's not really a rock biopic though. It is a dramatisation of Jones' autobiography.
I am enjoying it a lot

True - autobiopic !

Up to Episode 4 and the whole Grundy thing.
The guy who plays Rotten really has the voice down to a T and "Siouxsie Sioux" is a dead ringer.

Stick your tongue in your cheek and revel in it
It is fun

You miss the point, it's a story - a drama. The Sex Pistols story that we all know just forms the backdrop and provides a bit of familiarity.

I enjoyed it (with some reservations)
