Frayed

Postby Minnie the Minx » 18 Jan 2020, 02:11

I watched the entire series of this on the plane today - what an absolute fucking belter of a series! Any Australians familiar with it? I’m not actually sure where it aired:

Wonderful cast, though literally the first five minutes of the show make you consider turning it off. Don’t. It’s an absolute cracker!
You come at the Queen, you best not miss.

Yes, it went on air on the ABC here. And indeed it is quite funny.

I’ve never heard of the lead actress, is she pretty well known?

I hadn't heard of Sarah Kendall but she was interviewed a few months ago on The Project (Channel Ten)...turns out she had moved to London in 2000 and started her comedic career there but she did quite a.bit of stand-up around Melbourne as well.

Matt Passmore and Kerry Armstrong are TV-royalty down here so that helped the show propel to great heights.

We watched it on Sky about 3 months ago. Loved it. The brother is a great performance. And , oddly for a Sky original, it was not ridiculously long drawn out. Short and sweet with a great story to tell.

Short and sweet no doubt because they probably had to make it on a shoestring. But yes it's great.
