Incredible performance so far from Liverpool.

Henderson's been magnificent. Best performance I've seen from him - perpetual pressing, great challenges and decent distribution.

As great as the pool have been, you have to mention that Roma look all over the shop like they're not sure of their tactics. The players landing over to their manager asking what to do, wouldn't strike much confidence in to Roma fans.

It's pretty much a given that Liverpool will concede a couple in the last ten minutes. This isn't over by any means.

Can't see Liverpool not scoring given that Roma need to attack from the off.

Liverpool and Real favourites to proceed then. Both Bayern and Roma have it in them to turn it around in the second leg, but I think it's unlikely.

Can Liverpool beat Real?

It strikes me that Real's experience will count hugely. They have done it so often (and recently), that it almost seems like second nature. And given Liverpool's defensive laxness in the latter half of games, I suspect Real will wait it out if necessary. They've got that almost inherent ability to score when it matters and have the players to do it. At the same time, there's no reason why Liverpool can't win 4-0 .

History is against them. 3 times in a row?

I'm not buying it. If Liverpool go through I'd like to see 'em do a right fucking number on them.

I know some people dislike Liverpool round here but Real just need to fuck off and die.

We may just be jumping the gun discussing a Real/Liverpool final ... there's a lot of football still to play.

However, if that is the final - it could be an absolute cracker. Two teams on a great run of form..... both can score lots of goals, two forwards with the most goals in European football this season...both lightly suspect defences. A great potential combination.

I'd have to wait until closer to the day to commit but - I think Liverpool have firepower to over run Madrid early... and just about hold on and survive the inevitable onslaught later in the game.

You wouldn't really expect an Everton fan to like Liverpool, would you?

Speaking for myself -I think I've more than given them a fair appraisal throughout. Indeed, I've actually commented on what a superb job Klopp has done. But that doesn't make some of his more outrageous bullshit statements any more palatable - and is a reflection on that side of his personality, not his managerial skills or the teams performances.

If he's a dick sometimes, we ought to call him on it - just as we do Mourinho, Wenger, Guardiola etc etc.

So there! :D

B-b-b-ut the good of the game, Pete! Not like Liverpool, no, I wouldn't expect that but if you take a step back and be objective about it...Real really need to eat a dick here.

Klopp has made some silly statements but I like him, I really do. I think he's a decent sort and I like his style of football.

I'd have a pint with him, you know?

Anyone that beats Real is good by me, agreed.

Besides any team managed by Colin Wanker. That would be just about the only time I'd want Real to win. But, thankfully, it's not likely to happen either... :D

If Real lose it might open the door for Big Sam.

Just sayin' like....

Fuck, big night for the pool on and off the pitch. Hopefully we'll get an away goal at least, and survive the tie. Off the pitch, as great a night as it could be, I wouldn't be travelling over to see the game. I hope i'm very very wrong, but I can't see anything other than some violence outside the game between fans and police. Me and my friend were wondering if any fans might travel down from Turin. Shit could get out of hand very lively.

Poor Ulreich. Outstanding for most of this season as Neuer's replacement and that howler knocks Bayern out.

I'm sure it's going to be a cracking game tonight. Personally I'm struggling to see how Roma can make lightning strike twice, particularly as Liverpool's speed on the counterattack is probably the fastest in the competition - they simply can't afford to give that front 3 any space. However, their defence is rock solid at home. It's all very intriguing.
