Championship Sunday!
The Chiefs really should win at home to The Titans. They have an obscene amount of offensive weapons and come into the game on a 7 game winning streak. But....... Chris Jones (their DT run stuffer) may suit up but cannot be fully fit. That won't be so much of an issue if Kansas gets off to a flyer and limit Derek Henry's running opportunities. But they went 24 points down last week before recovering (with a lot of help from the Texans) spectacularly. If they do that again this week, I don't believe they will be able to do that wice. This Titans team is very tough and, in Henry, they have the hottest Running Back in the NFL at present. And don't underestimate the total transformation since Tannehill was installed at QB. I think this may be a fabulous game and, incredibly, I just see Tennessee winning...something like 27-24. A little snippet.... Tennessee is the 3rd team since the 1970 merger to defeat the NFL's #1 scoring defense (Patriots) and #1 scoring offense (Ravens) in the same postseason (both previous teams went on to win Super Bowl)........
I have a vested interest in the 49ers/Packers game, in that I backed SF back in last Sept at 14/1 to win the Superbowl. I've really not seen anything since then that has made me change my mind - I sometimes wish Garoppolo would dominate games more than he does but, offensively, that three headed running back hydra is what they win and lose by. And the Packers aren't a great run D, so I can see the play action working really well for them throughout. And Aaron Rodgers, as great as he is, has not been good against pressure this season - which is not usual for him. The 49ers D gets to QB's quicker than any other defence in the league.... that will be a big issue too (as it was when SF thumped the Packers in the regular season). Green Bay has got better but - match up wise, the 49ers just win all over the pitch. And in Sherman they have a CB who has played Adams really well in previous match ups too. San Francisco to win 31-10.
