Which QB?

By the way - the answer is Aaron Rodgers.

Indeed. That's the "Comeback King" © Joe Buck.

That is a massive game. If the Chiefs win it's all over in the West.... if the Chargers win, I think they just become favourites to top the division.... just read it's likely that the Chargers are without both Gordon & Ekeler... that will hurt them in keeping the famed Kansas offence off the pitch.

I've just watched the game - wow. Just wow.

That takes some balls to call the 2 point conversion to win - of course, the logic is there but that's still a gutsy gutsy call. Fair play to Anthony Lynn.

Rivers may not have won a Superbowl but he's a brilliant QB - he threw one pass to Benjamin last night that was (as Aikman said) "a thing of beauty"... and it really was. They're going to be tough from now on.

I know the pass you mean and they were showing it over and over again on ESPN this morning. I was switching back and forth between this game and the Lakers/Rockets hoops game. Both were great.

I used to not like Rivers' antics, but I've come to appreciate him now. He's a completely unfiltered cowboy and he's hall of fame worthy.

It's come out that Raiders' owner, Mark Davis, is the one who pressed the Amari Cooper trade. That's troubling. You'd think Gruden and GM Reggie McKenzie could've teamed up to nix it.

You think Gruden agreed, with the payoff being Mackenzie being shown the door a little later?

He says he didn't in public, but you gotta think there was some sorta palace intrigue involved. Trouble is, Gruden was kinda lame for Tampa Bay in the same position.

Davis is all about Vegas and wanted the picks down the line. He's forsaken Oakland and the next year or two. Gruden runs the West Coast Offense which is predicated on short passes so Davis thought Cooper was under-utilized.

I don't know. The inventor of the West Coast Offense, Bill Walsh, did pretty good with a couple guys named Rice and Taylor.

Neither of which were speedsters.... interesting. Gruden clearly had something to do with the trade, even if he wasn't the main driver.

Anyone reckon that if Cleveland hadn't won that game by holding out Denver in the last 1:53 of the game after that horrible time-out call by Williams, we would have another coach sacked?

It's hard to believe that the Browns still have a small shot at reaching the play-offs but this was a gritty performance against an understrenght team that fought all the way.

I think it was the right call though - in the end, it worked out for them and they deserved it. He had faith in his D and they came through - but, as you say, it's easy to comment in hindsight!

They're playing some tough football in Cleveland - Williams has earnt the Head Coach position there.

Well the wheels have come off at the Rams - as soon as I saw Foles as QB for the Eagles I thought that may be interesting. I'm not saying he's a better QB than Wentz - I am saying, this team appear to respond better with him at QB.

The Patriots lost back to back games in December for the first time since 2002.... they've now lost five of seven on the road. As they are unlikely to now get one of the top two seeds (as long as the Texans hang in there) that doesn't bode well for their playoff hopes.

The rising star in the AFC though must be the Chargers.... I'm sure no one wants them post season.

In the NFC, the Saints are guaranteed homefield advantage by winning one of their last two matches... and their homefield advantage is huge. That maybe enough for them to win the Superbowl.

Interesting to see the strange but exciting turn Michael Dickson's life has taken - from being a member of the Sydney Swans AFL academy, to College and then NFL football, and doing VERY well at it too. Just goes to show what a bit of natural talent and an outsider's view on things can do.

Scott van Pelt made a heartfelt statement in regards to that... thinks he is in serious trouble mentally and has been a mess for years....
It's easy to think of what he has wasted but man, these things are tricky to work out. And as harsh as the crowd will judge him, it was good to hear a voice speak In his favor.

I think the fact that the Patriots gave him a decent 'send off' comment reflects that there's something seriously awry there. A great shame that that talent is never going to be realised. I hope the guy gets himself the help he so clearly needs.

As if I needed another reason to not watch this bogus, corrupt league.

I have no comment on his supposed mental health issues, but grown people should be able to smoke pot without fear of retribution from their employer. These fucks are such hypocrites. Sure, by all means, go booze it up, but smoke some weed in a state where it's legalized and you're an addict to be pitied or in most cases despised.

The Ravens temporarily stopped the party for The Chargers last night.

That's some feat by Harbaugh - to flip totally from pass heavy to run heavy to accommodate your rookie QB (and stick with him) takes some doing. They've still got to do something to make the playoffs but, if they do, they really will be a team no one will want to meet.
