Back with an early February edition in which we play records, chit chat, and salute the late Joe Camarillo, who lived his life BCB adjacent.

Here's a late February edition in which we play records, chit chat, and blow off steam after a crazy week.

i LOVED that (of course i did, me bein all classic rocky and gweetar-laden.) i have discovered i think of y'all's show as a synch listen, mwhahaa. so here are my lil not-caffeinated-enough babblings along the way.

opening with alice and suede... ooof.

(i aint sure there are more brilliant rock lyrics than these:

well we got no class
and we got no principals
and we got no innocence
we can't even think of a word that rhymes

... art.)

happy belated 88th willie!

loved that lady dan track, paradox... loved the lyrics, too. i felt suffocated so i went back to alabama / god is laughing at me now.

i am 3 years older that sinéad. i have decided i *am* sinéad, i mean, i don't have a conservatory and i'm not in ireland, but other than that...

i heard that lil dig at janis, baron. best watch yerself.

i seem to love the beach boys more as i get older. dunno what that says about me.

5:15!!! minnie, i didn't know you love quadrophrenia!!

my love don't care about time. siiigh.

great pavement track.

tony bennett. happy anniversary on y'all's first meeting.

most importantly, best wishes to yer brother, min. ::smack::

mwhaha. ya knowww, i just wanna say... there are folk who consider themselves experts on "punk"... that was what they loved in their formative years. they were there, after all. and i respect that.

but some of em, when you ask em about the music itself, they will tell ya it's all about attitude.

really?

that means "punk" is timeless. chaucer was punk. anyone wanna have that fight with me? i am more than ready to go. bring it awn.

janis was most definitely punk. all these guys around here classify her as some kinda screeching, squawking harpy. you can hate her, fine, it's musical taste. but to me? she got treated like shit her whole life, and her response, in her 20s mind: get out on stage and just fucquin bleed out yer heart and yer ovaries. everything. ALL out.

if anyone doesn't think that's punk... mwhahaha.

and just imagine what effect it had on a wee kath. ya.

er... open to discussion, of course.

A new episode, after awhile. It will double as my last actual radio show for the summer, so is a little longer and contains station IDs and PSAs.
