Recently keyed in a large batch of photos from 1991, the first year that Chip and I spent living
in the suburbs of Bristol.
Here's a totally random selection

Terry lived in the house next door to where Chip moved in Bristol in 1987 and they became firm friends;
so much so that, in the absence of parents, he 'gave her away' at our first wedding

Image
Homeland
A wide angle shot of the Golden Valley, which lay between our home in Oldland, on the outskirts of Bristol, and Bath.
The high ground to the right is Landsdown, site of Civil War battle and Bath racecourse. The high ground to the left,
with its distinctive line of trees, is Freezing Hill

Actually, not quite. That white house half way up on the right is across the road from me. Mine is hidden by trees. Took this picture from high on a ridge about one and a half miles east of Sandford. The far horizon is the north-west of Dartmoor, perhaps 15-20 miles away

Cheers, ’skope! It does look like one of those places where bands went to get their heads together in the country (man). I don't know if you were on the board when I posted this one of one of my student digs in 1972 that really ought to have been an album cover:

This one is also a good shout:

Incidentally, I've noticed that proportionately more ex-pats respond to these pics than any other group. Do you miss the English countryside / townscapes, Adam?

Just for fun, a rare dip into the scanned prints on photobucket. Apologies if I've put up any of these before – I don't even try to keep track.
And as these were scanned several years ago, when I did not have the technology I have today, the quality isn't up to usual standards.
And some of the pics I scanned had been cut up to fit into the mega-collage of The Trip Room

It's been a while since I raided the transparency archives.
Here's some random selection of town and city scapes, most from the 1980s, unless otherwise tagged.
Apologies if I've posted some before, but I do have a basic curating problem of not know what the fuck I'm doing :D
