When I saw this version of Yes (with Alan White swapped for Bruford] around 2004 at the Hammersmith Odeon, I realised this album is genuinely what the band are all about. Or think or thought they were all about.
In that the 3-hour show (with intermission) was just like this - amazing tracks with lots of solo interludes in between.
They did most of Fragile at that show as well - Roundabout, We Have Heaven, South Side Of The Sky, Long Distance Runaround/The Fish, Heart of The Sunrise.
Plus from other albums Siberian Khatru, And You and I, Awaken, Don't Kill The Whale, Starship Trooper, Yours Is No Disgrace (I think, or else I've Seen All Good People).
Plus a few tunes from more recent albums called Going For A Piss Parts 1, 2, and 3.
But anyway the whole point the whole evening, one of the last shows with that line up (or indeed any with Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman) was 'Wasn't that a great tune? And now here's our incredible guitar player doing a few of his tunes for you, isn't he great?''
