Not that anyone asked but I've been really enjoying all the following-
Cory Hanson! Baron has been playing him and his associated acts for ages, but only recently has it clicked into place. I haven't done any searching on here yet to see if anyone has talked about him but if you have, good for you! He's great!
A few months ago I started hearing Japanese Breakfast on the radio and thinking ooh, I like this and should probably seek more out and I never really did. The next thing I know they are all over the place and the more I know, the more I love. Isn't this delightful? This, too:
Here's something else that's great:
Lava La Rue! Ooh, I get shivers watching her. Splendid stuff. Another beauty-
Great, eh?
Here's one of my favourite discoveries though- found her completely by accident-
Hinako Omori. The album that this is from is sensational. I was listening to Loose Ends on Radio 4- presented by Clive Anderson for those that don't know -who usually sounds very sarcastic and disengaged from the artists who play on the show (US readers, check out YouTube for his legendary interview with the Bee Gees when they stormed off). Anyway, he introduced her and she played this and when she had finished, there was a long silence and you could hear him gulp. I thought fucking hell, if she silenced Clive, that's quite something. Anyhoo, that's all I've got for you!

Yeah, that was quite appealing.
Not really my thing but will give the album a listen as well.

I learned just the other night that they played at my store seven years ago. Neither I nor the co-worker who sent me the clip remembered it happening (in my defense: I probably wasn't there); I for one was surprised to learn that they'd been around that long!
