New music from Elizabeth Fraser and partner Damon Reece is out tomorrow and pre-viewing on iTunes now.
Awesome stuff and features STeve Hackett on a lot of the tunes too (he played with her at the Meltdown Festival in 2012)

Sun's Signature
I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

Got the RSD-12" and it is indeed pretty good. Liz is fabulous, the music doesn't go too over the top.

I don't know...
Apples is practically fully-fledged prog - perhaps a more well-versed goon should comment.
beautiful anyway - i couldn't find out if Hackett played on Apples but it sounds like him - loads of 12 string acoustic and Taurus pedals (sounds a bit like Trick of the Tail at times). He played on at least two of the other tracks previewing I believe.

Absolute genius! Steve Hackett, apparently, plays a Gizmo (Godley and Creme, anybody?) Damon Reece was playing "The lamb lies down" and "Selling England" and that's what made them chose Hackett

Yes, they're really flying under the radar. It's like you have to hunt for it.
That said, apparently BBC6 Music have been playing it a lot.

Yes, A Gizmotron I think it's called - bankrupted G&C back in the 70s didn't it? I knew it had been relaunched. I'd go for a Sustainiac myself (I actually used to use an Ebow a lot back in the day) less moving parts.
The collaboration started when SH played with Liz's band at Anthony (apologies for not spelling it properly) & The Johnsons' Meltdown Festival in 2012.
I get the feeling a lot of the Sun's Sig music has been kicking artound for a while - Underwater for at least 22 odd years!
Anyway, I'll listen again and keep the ears open.
I haven't listened to Lamb that much to be fair, but I get a much more Trick vibes than Selling vibes, from Apples at least.

The iTunes playlist attached to the Sun's Sig music turned up this gem...

Bought this on Saturday. It is, without a doubt, very proggy in parts but it is also absolutely gorgeous.

This one came on as we were driving along North Cornwall coast on Sunday.
And the aforementioned For are my two favourites.
Not enough whistling in music these days.
Very medieval sounding to me. Reminded me of Perotin (inventor of polyphony apparently). He used the acoustics of the great French cathedrals when composing for voices.

Re: Sun's Signature
UPDATE
The other two Sun Sig tunes are now available to download, Bluedusk (3/5) and Make Lovely The Day (5/5 - my scores ).
While most singers' voices get worse as they age, Liz seems to have gotten better and gone up in range too. And credit to Steve Hackett too.

Re: Sun's Signature
30mins of GLORIOUS, timeless music. Liz is brilliant, Hackett inspired. Sounds very Fripp at times
