Holy crap - just posted up on YouTube.... so good it deserves its own thread!
Genesis live at Bataclan in 1973. Refurbished / remastered... whatever. Unbelievable quality. It’s like being on stage with them. Damn near brought tears to my eyes.

It's astonishing.
The only sadness is that Supper's Ready isn't complete (and maybe others, not sure without checking).
But of course that's not the fault of those who did the restoration.

Coincidentally I was watching live Genesis performances from this era on Youtube recently, since it occurred to me I've never really seen video of the classic band in action. Very interesting.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

I downloaded it, but only got a small file, so the sound on the download is not
as good as on the stream from YT.
Did you get a full quality file?

I downloaded it at the same size as the original file.. .
1920x1080 4496kbps 25fps 44khz stereo
It's quite small (650mb or so I think) but the sound quality is pretty average on the clip anyway, no?

Most excellent.
Why is it incomplete though?
Did somebody fail to put two bob in the meter...?

I have most footage of Genesis that is out there, but I'd never even *seen* this before

Tony Banks to Bataclan Director: Any time Hackett does anything remotely interesting can you please make sure to cut to a shot of the back of my head.

My thoughts exactly.
It must be said that in those days TV teams often worked with only two cameramen and an editor (neither giving a fuck about the music) and the latter simply took the footage with the sharp image, regardless of what was happening on stage.

And it (the latest version turning up on YouTube) seems to be improved too.
