Re: Elton
Good feature, saw the movie the other day. The relationship between Elton and Bernie is done very well, guy who plays Bernie has him off to a tee. At least more truthful than the Queen movie, (history is not re-written,) like that one the songs in the wrong order but i've learnt that isnt important in the movie world. I need to lose that chronological angle i have built in me when it comes to music, its a movie. Good but not great.

Re: Elton
I only heard the soundtrack to it so far and it is terrible.
It's on my 'avoid at all costs-'list unless I read/see more compelling evidence to the opposite.

The Queen film is being shown for free outdoors at the All Points East festival in Victoria Park, east London, on Thursday evening. I will probably go along.

Well indeed. Furthermore it is only about 5 minutes' walk from my house.

There has been a singer and keyboard basher who appropriated his name but gave half of it back after a confrontation. This was a long while back - the ersatz Elton has been struggling to achieve some sort of musical credibility ever since.
Elton the original had the last laugh when he died in 2006 and the drug-addled pretender had yet to garner a mention in this forum's Prog Corner.
Nothing of substance since then either, in my view.
