Festa Italiana

Postby GoogaMooga » 19 Jan 2019, 19:45

PARTY TIME !!

I'm having a great time, playing the heck out of a most wonderful Italian comp that I found today, "Festa Italiana", from 2003 on the Linea label. It's "tutti artisti originali"... Some of those joyous tracks I've heard before, in fact I am sure we all know the slightly cheesy "Vamos a la Playa", but the rest is a delightful mix of deep disco, buoyant dance pop, and doo-woppy balladry. Tony Esposito with "Kalimba de Luna", yes, please! And better yet. They can really turn a tune, the Italians. I love Italy!
